The return of old glory

The story of VILLA SANDY connects the history of two neighboring National Cultural Monuments – the Municipal Park in Košice and the magnificent Art Nouveau building known in the past as the “Skating Pavilion”.

Their joint journey began in 1909, when the pavilion was built in the park. Over the course of time, both of these precious elements of the cultural heritage of Košice have gone through a period of glory and subsequent decline. Thanks to true local patriots, however, both have been saved, completely restored and today they are here in their full glory just for you.
